Diablo 4: Only in this way can play Season 1?

Despite the negative reception for the update earlier this week, Diablo 4 fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Season 1 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The release date for Season of the Wicked is 6pm UK time on 20 July. Note that while this new content will be free to all players, you won't actually be able to access it until you've completed the main Diablo 4 campaign with at least one character. Again, you'll need to download and install the latest update to start playing.

Blizzard further explained: "Once the season starts, log in to the game, create a new season character and enjoy!

"If you haven't completed the campaign, you will need to complete the campaign with a character to access seasonal content.

Newly created seasonal characters will have immediate access to mounts and the option to skip the campaign as long as they complete the campaign with at least one character.

All previously discovered Lilith Altars and corresponding reputations have also been unlocked. The same is true for all previously discovered areas on the map.

The trailer for Diablo 4: Season of Viciousness has been released.
According to Blizzard, Season of Villainous will launch with a free battle pass that all season characters will automatically receive.

There's also a paid premium battle pass with extra rewards and an accelerated battle pass with skipping levels.

The Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Edition bundles include a Premium Battle Pass unlock. This unlock can be used to unlock the premium content "Season of Viciousness".

However, Battle Pass unlocks do not necessarily have to be used in the current season. If you haven't completed the campaign or don't like the look of the rewards, you can save the unlocks for future seasons.
