FUT 23 will offer cross-play for PlayStation, Xbox and PC players at launch

After years of requests from the player base, EA Sports is finally introducing a cross-platform multiplayer system for the upcoming FUT 23 (next part).
EA Sports has been testing the new matchmaking system in FUT 22 over the past few months, and the cross-play feature will be available to players at launch, but with some limitations at first.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can play with each other in addition to new members of their own console series (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S). "It's been a long time for FUT and we know our players have been waiting for this," producer Mattla Frenier said in a private speech last week.
Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC players will also be able to play among themselves, as well as older members of their console family. This cross-play system will speed up match times, which is fine for console players, but may be a bit slower for PC users, as the player base is much smaller.
All of the changes will change the way Ultimate Team, FUT most popular mode where players can form their own clubs and face off against others works. The game modes have a different market for each platform, but now they will be fully competitive and the market will be the same for everyone.
This will ultimately benefit PC users who have to pay higher prices for Ultimate Team cards, as there are considerably fewer players packing cards and putting them on the transfer market.
FUT 23 will be the last collaboration between EA Sports and FUT, as the game studio and FUT will part ways after this release. FUT 23 will be released on September 30.
