FUT 23: Juventus returns - bye, Piemonte Calcio!

Juventus Turin and EA SPORTS have concluded a new multi-year partnership, the "Old Lady" returns in FUT 23 - Piemonte Calcio is history.

For three years, fans of the Italian record champions had to do without a faithful representation of the top club in the offshoots of the FUT series. Juventus Turin was last licensed in FUT 19, after which the path of the "old lady" led exclusively to Konami and PES or eFootball. Juventus Turin became Piemonte Calcio in the FUT titles, only the players could still be called by their real names. The "Bianconeri" are returning with FUT 23, EA SPORTS and the club have concluded a multi-year partnership - Juventus Turin will therefore also be represented in EA SPORTS FC from 2023.

The developer has released an atmospheric trailer to announce the return, which will be voiced over by former Juventus pro Claudio Marchisio. The former Italy international will be one of the new FUT Heroes in FUT 23, while new winter signing Dusan Vlahovic will also become an ambassador. For Piemonte Calcio, which Juventus Turin had to replace for three years for licensing reasons, EA SPORTS wrote a farewell statement.

"We are delighted to reaffirm our deep commitment to Italian football through this exclusive partnership with Juventus," said David Jackson, VP of Brand at EA SPORTS GAME. "This phenomenal club means so much to us and our fans and will allow EA SPORTS to continue to deliver the most authentic and immersive interactive soccer experiences possible in FUT 23 and beyond." Juventus CRO Giorgio Ricci also said he was "proud" to "return to the side of EA SPORTS". The partnership goes "beyond the concept of a traditional partnership".

The statement does not yet reveal what exactly is to be associated with this special cooperation. With the return of Juventus comes the comeback of the Allianz Stadium, the original kits and the authentic logo of the top club. Said FUT Heroes promo, which Marchisio will be a part of, has recently been linked to Marvel. A leak caused by EA SPORTS itself suggested a crossover event with the superhero universe.
