Your Beginner's Guide to Fortnite Passes

This guide explains the difference between Fortnite's monthly and seasonal passes, helping new players understand the game's payment options.

What is a Season Pass? A Season Pass, also known as a Battle Pass, is a popular way to earn rewards in Fortnite. The game currently has four different modes, each with its own season pass: Battle Royale, OG (Old Game), LEGO, and Music. These four passes share a common level system, which means you can level up in any mode and unlock rewards simultaneously across all four passes.

What is an "Infinite Season Pass"? You can get some rewards, including the in-game currency V-Bucks, without spending any money. The V-Bucks you earn from the free rewards are often enough to buy the next season's pass. For example, if you earn 500 V-Bucks this season and another 500 next season, you’ll have enough to buy the next Battle Pass. After you buy the pass, you can earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks, which is enough to buy the next one and still have 500 V-Bucks left over. This is what players call the "Infinite Season Pass".

What is a Fortnite Crew Pack (Monthly Subscription)? The Fortnite Crew Pack is a monthly subscription service, similar to a streaming service membership.

• Rewards: When you buy a subscription, you get access to all four season passes. You also get 1,000 V-Bucks and an exclusive monthly skin right away. Each month you stay subscribed, you unlock a new skin.
• Bonus Skins: If you continue your subscription, you’ll also unlock special color variations of previous monthly skins.
• V-Bucks Refund: If you’ve already bought a Battle Pass, the V-Bucks you spent on it will be refunded to you when you purchase the Crew Pack, as long as the pass purchase was within the last 14 days.
• Subscription Expiration: If your subscription expires, the passes will be locked. You get to keep any rewards you unlocked before the subscription ended, but to get the rest, you'll need to either buy the individual pass or renew your subscription.
